Azzurra, like the sky color. Is a young female pitbull, victim of illegal puppy trade business
She was rescued by OIPA volounteers months ago. When they seized her she was like a ghost, a small skeleton. She could hardly stand. She was found in a ruin in Villabate, in Sicily, with another male pitbull. OIPA Animal Guards with the Police rescued her after an operation of several hours.
This little pitbull was forced to live in prison in order to pop out new fighting machines.
Now her health has noticeably improved. She has appetite and she slowly got back in shape.
Furthermore, she caught a severe leishmania and she still has to treat the symptoms. But she is fighting her disease to be back in shape and is gradually healing.
Once she will be complitely healed she will be sterilized and ready to look for a good family.
OIPA volounteers want to express how thankful they are to everyone who decided to support them and Azzurra with donations.
But they still need help because of the high costs for medicaments, (she needs a packet of glucantime every third day which costs 14,00 €).
