OIPA’s International Representative India -Rajasthan Manish Saxena also Director of Wing Of Research In Local Development (WORLD) – OIPA’s member league association – came across a case of animal cruelty after some residents of Vidhyadhar Nagar village asked unskilled and untrained dog catchers to trap and relocate a street dog without an actual reason.

The footage clearly shows how they brutally catch the dog inflicting unnecessary pain and suffering. Dog was captured and transferred to another location.

OIPA’s representative took the matter to Nodal Police Officer asking to investigate and take stringent and legal action against the three culprits as in violation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, under Section 11.

He is now trying to sensitize local people to be more compassionate towards animals explaining that a pacific coexistence with stray dogs in the community is possible.
