A new request for help from WAGWAG the Oipa’s delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina has been received.
“WagWag” Foundation in Banja Luka, OIPA’s member league, has asked for help for Musa, a kind volunteer from Mostar.
He is currently voluntarily caring for 40 cats and is extremely worried about their wellbeing over the winter due to his very limited resources. Musa works two jobs, six days a week, and it is clear that he puts the needs of the animals before his own. He takes great pride in his efforts and even built an improvised shelter for the cats with his own hands. At the same time, he is humble enough to ask for help for their sake. Several of the cats have disabilities, which makes the situation even more challenging, deeply distressing, and mentally exhausting for him.
who is “wagwag”
WagWag, is a non-profit organization that educates about the proper attitude towards stray and owned animals. Its headquarter is in Banja Luka, in the northwest of the country. Amazing projects were created in this area, such as the Cat Hotels, facilities in which cats wandering in the area can find a safe place with food and warm kennels to sleep in.
This project is run by many volunteers on the ground and have become necessary because of the large number of strays that have so far not been effectively managed by institutions. Wag Wag recognized and singled out the critical problems of the city shelter and all related institutions, which, by their inefficiency and ignoring any proposals, deepen the crisis of stray and neglected animals in that region.
what they needs
Given the large number of cats, food costs are significant, and expenses for litter, cleaning and other care items have increased drastically.
Musa needs as much food as possible to help his cats survive the winter.
You can make the difference. Even a small donation can mean a lot for Musa and all the cats of his shelter in Mostar
