Easter is a celebration of hope for Christian believers. Hope in eternal life, represented by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is one of the basic principles of Christian religion. So why to celebrate such an important message of love, peace and kindness with the sacrifice of innocent beings?

A celebration based on the suffering inflicted on thousands and thousands of little lambs, who should instead grow up with their mothers, nursed and protected in their womb, does not carry a positive message quite the contrary.

300,000 – is the number of lambs killed in Italy every year, during Easter period in the name of a tradition stained with blood.

Wrenched from their mothers at only 22 days old, crammed into trucks and transported alive to slaughterhouses. Exhausted by the journey, they are immobilized, pushed onto conveyor belts, stunned and finally, slaughtered by throat cutting.

They die slowly, bleeding to death. While dying, all around the noise of slaughtering machines, the smell of blood, the screams and cries of their fellows. Waiting their turn, terrified lambs and young goats clearly perceive what is going to happen them next.

Preventive stunning, required by law, it is often not applied due to lack of time. Many of them, therefore, will remain conscious during the slaughter.

This slaughter of puppies is perpetuated every year in the name of peace…but in the name of peace, the real one, each of us has the power to stop it!

Don’t wait, it’s time to act. Don’t close your eyes, their salvation depends on you.
