Animals at Gorod Cobak shelter, OIPA’s member league in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, need help. One of its volunteer Yuliya, asked us for food and for medicines and, in the past weeks, we bought 340 kg of dog’s food. Now Yuliya has told us the story of Jack, a dog with heart disease. We could not remain indifferent and we bought more than 300 euros worth of medicine.
Jack is a old dog that needs a pills indicated for the treatment of heart failure for life. This medicine is very expensive and the shelter is unable to buy it, but Jack cannot live without it. “We took him off the street with a punctured lung, cured him and then it turned out that he had heartworms in his heart. We cured them too, but now Cardisure is support until the end of his days” says Yuliya.
The Gorod Cobak’s volunteers are very loving. They take care of each of the 200 dogs that live there, trying to cope with huge expenses, both for food and veterinary care. Only for Jack, regular checkups and medication are essential to his survival. When we found out, we couldn’t help but help him.
OIPA International ordered pills worth more than €300, as well as three bags of food, to give as a small gift to the other dogs who live with him.
Jack will have to take this medicine for the rest of his life. If you can, please help us with a small donation.
