Many homeless animals live in the streets of Kosovo. OIPA’s member league StrayCoCo is collaborating with local veterinarians to place food and water dispensers for hungry dogs. This initiative will guarantee that the dogs are provided with healthy and nutritious food, therefore improving their quality of life. The dispensers are located in the city of Vushtrri, in Northern Kosovo, and, along with feeding animals, they will hopefully become a symbol representing the respect for all living creatures.

Vushtrri is trying to help the community’s stray dogs thanks to an initiative of Zenel Zhabari of the North Animal Hospital. He is building a nice Transitory Care Center with kennels, dog houses and roof protection and investing in food stations in the municipality, so that treated dogs can be kept healthy. Mayor Dr. Xhafer Tahiri also wants to cooperate in the future the best possible way, as he declared at the end of last year.

StrayCoCo needs your help to supply dog food! Make a difference in a stray dog’s life, each big package costs around 22 euros. You can make a donation here:
