Left without water and food, locked in a room, chained to a wall. Thor, a 12-year-old senior dog, was found in a dreadful state. Sentenced to die alone in neglect in an abandoned shed in Casoria, Naples province.

The dog could barely stand without eating and drinking for days. Beside having overgrown nails, hair loss and ocular mycosis, he was severely dehydrated and suffering from arthritis.

Caretaker was reported to authorities while Thor has been seized by OIPA Italy’s animal control officers who transferred him to a foster facility where he is healing his physical and psychological wounds waiting to be settled in a foster home surrounded by love and attention.
