Yesterday, a terrible and disturbing video started circulating online in Italy. Footage showed a few months old white and brown goat approaching a group of teenagers. The animal calm and docile was clearly used to human presence. The little goat was one of the animals living in a farmhouse in Anagni (Frosinone province) chosen by a group of so-called “respectable families” teens to celebrate the birthday party of one of them.

One of the guys came close to the animal, then kicked the poor baby violently. The goat immediately collapsed and once on the ground continued to writhe in suffering, but the boy hit the animal again, repeatedly, with unspeakable violence, once, twice, three times.

The baby goat passed out, stopped breathing, and sadly died alone in front of youths who didn’t even show a bit of mercy for an little sentient. Not only they brutally killed an innocent animal, but they also loaded the dead body on a wheelbarrow throwing it from a wall.

They were so exalted to record a video of the cruel act and post it online while laughing in front of an act of murdering.

Farmhouse’s owner reported the group to the police that questioned alleged culprits and their friends.

These guys are now charged with the offence of animal killing and mistreatment aggravated by futile reasons.

OIPA will bring its civil action as part of the criminal proceeding. These type of crimes, increasingly popular with social media, are an expression of social dangerousness! We hope the Government will finally reform the Penal Code increasing penalties for crimes against animals.
