A two-day dog sterilization campaign was successfully held in Branistea on April, 13-14. An initiative proposed by Sava’s Safe Haven – OIPA’s member association in Romania and sponsored by OIPA International.

Sava’s sorted out a mobile vet clinic in Branistea’s rural area where a first group of strays and pet dogs from vulnerable families were spayed and neutered for free.

Hundred and nine animals (109 dogs: 77 females and 32 males), twenty of which additionally sponsored by Sava’s partner charity in the UK, were sterilized. The same day these four paws’ patients were dewormed, homeless dogs got an ear tag and families in need received pet food, leashed and harnesses.

Another group of 100 dogs is on the list, we rely on your support to guarantee them a better quality of life and control the overpopulation of strays.
