It’s chaos in Dubai and in many other areas of the United Arab Emirates after an intense flooding hit the country on Tuesday, registering the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in 75 years. In Oman, at least 18 people were killed in flash floods.

Nearly 100 mm of torrential rain fell over the course of just 12 hours, an amount usually corresponding to a year’s worth of rain plunges.

Shocking videos have showed a city underwater with flooded streets, submerged vehicles, uprooted palm trees, shattered building facades and citizens attempting to ‘navigate’ through floodwater.

Streets turning unexpected into rivers became a death trap for a large number of stray cats who suddenly experienced a tragedy.

We contacted our friend and beloved volunteer in Dubai who desperately told us: “Yes it’s a disaster situation and no one is helping me. I’m sick with corona, but I’m out rescuing kittens since last night. I rescued 33 kittens so far, however I found dead more than 60 cats in my feeding area”.

We urgently appeal to your good hearts

We launch a fundraising campaign to collect funds necessary to handle the emergency. Your donations will be used for food, vet care and future sterilizations of the survivors.
