Our Mission in Rajasthan

OIPA’s mission in Rajasthan is to protect animals, promote animal welfare and strengthen awareness among communities, children, young people and local stakeholders.

We believe that animal welfare, human wellbeing and environmental protection are deeply connected. For this reason, our work combines animal protection, public awareness, wildlife conservation, environmental responsibility and community education.

Through our presence in Rajasthan, we aim to encourage respect for all living beings and to support a culture of compassion, coexistence and responsibility.

What We Do

OIPA in Rajasthan carries out activities focused on animal welfare, community awareness, rabies prevention, wildlife conservation, environmental protection and education.

Our work includes educational programmes in schools and communities, awareness campaigns on responsible behaviour towards animals, initiatives to prevent cruelty, support for animal rescue and veterinary care, and activities dedicated to biodiversity and environmental preservation.

A key part of our work is engaging children and young people, helping them understand the importance of compassion, respect for animals and responsible coexistence with nature.

Main Areas of Activity

Animal Welfare and Protection

OIPA in Rajasthan works to prevent cruelty to animals and promote responsible behaviour towards both companion animals and street animals.

Activities include awareness campaigns, educational sessions, animal health initiatives, rescue support and community engagement to improve the relationship between people and animals.

Rabies Prevention and Human-Dog Coexistence

One of the main areas of work is rabies prevention and dog bite awareness.

Through the Rabies Free Jaipur 2030 initiative, OIPA promotes anti-rabies vaccination, dog bite prevention, community education and safer coexistence between people and dogs.

The programme involves students, families, youth, women and local communities, with the aim of reducing fear, improving understanding of dog behaviour and supporting a more humane approach to street dogs.

Education for Compassion

Education is at the heart of OIPA’s work in Rajasthan.

Through the Education for Compassion programme, OIPA promotes kindness, empathy and respect for animals among children, students and communities.

The programme includes school activities, awareness sessions, interactive meetings and educational materials designed to inspire a new generation of compassionate citizens.

Wildlife Conservation

OIPA in Rajasthan is also active in wildlife conservation, with a focus on awareness, rescue, protection of native species and human-wildlife coexistence.

Activities include wildlife education, conservation campaigns, collaboration with relevant authorities and community-based initiatives to protect biodiversity.

Particular attention is given to birds, leopards, peacocks and other species affected by habitat loss, human activities or conflict situations.

Bird Protection and Rescue

Through Operation Free Sky, OIPA supports the rescue and treatment of injured birds, especially during kite-flying festivals, when many birds are harmed by sharp kite strings.

The initiative combines rescue, veterinary care, volunteer participation and public awareness. Over the years, thousands of birds have been helped through this programme.

Environmental Awareness

OIPA in Rajasthan promotes environmental responsibility as an essential part of animal protection.

Activities include tree plantation, awareness on plastic pollution, promotion of eco-friendly alternatives, water conservation, and campaigns encouraging communities to adopt more sustainable habits.

Environmental initiatives involve schools, young people and local communities, creating a direct link between animal welfare, biodiversity and protection of the planet.

“In Rajasthan, OIPA works to promote coexistence between people, animals and the environment.”
