OIPA proudly received the confirmation of exemption from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) – Section 501 (c) (3) – of Title 26 of the United States Code.

OIPA is listed as non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with tax ID number 98-1471007 and classified as public charity under the IRC Section 170 (b) (1) (A) (vi), funded almost exclusively by the donations of its supporters.

In the US, there are 29 types of 501(c) nonprofit organizations. 501(c)(3) tax-exemptions apply to entities that are organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes, for testing for public safety, to foster national or international amateur sports competition, for the prevention of cruelty to children, women, or animals.

Every day, thousands of animals around the world suffer from cruelty and abuse.

OIPA International moves forward numerous campaigns and projects including: protecting strays, rescuing and providing care to neglected animals in rural communities, ending wildlife trade and captive industry, fighting animal experiments, stopping hunting and breeding, banning fur and entertainment industry, getting modifications to local and international laws on animal welfare.

Our NGO embraces more than 200 animal associations worldwide and has active delegations in Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Chile, Corsica, Kenya, India, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan.
